Drew and I and Kaya have been really mellow and have done much of anything since celebrating the holidays alone. Christmas alone wasn’t much fun, but we enjoyed cuddling and watching movies. We did take a trip down to Phoenix to get a level two ultrasound on baby number two. Here is a photo of Kaya at the Japanese restaurant once we got the good news that everything looked fine this time for the growing girl, whom will likely be called, Ava Rose.

We watched Kaya open gifts on Christmas morning. Of course, she doesn’t get the concept of Christmas but like most kids enjoyed ripping the paper off of her presents.

But the holidays are now past us and the Christmas decor has been stripped from the house. Like most people I enjoy putting the stockings up and getting rid of any Christmas remnant after the new year.

Yes, this is the baby inside me. We have yet to decide on a name. Will she be Jade, Hannah, Maya, Ava, Lily, Loo loo, Poo, poo, I am not sure. It is amazing she is healthy and growing as I feel I haven’t had a chance to commune with her like I should. Kaya keeps me so busy that I forget that I am pregnant. This was a level two ultrasound (see picture below) that was ordered by my doctor, as to do a once over on the fetal heart. There isn’t any major problems with any organ development, which was such a relief. We celebrated afterward, going out to a wonderful Japanese lunch in Scottsdale.

Kaya enjoyed her first birthday on Thanksgiving day. Here is a photo of her as her hair gets carried up by the static of the balloons.img_3274.jpgP>img_1031.jpg

Our little pretty pistol blowing out her candles on the pumpking spice cheesecake. We had wonderful visits from friends and family. Thank you all who attended her first birthday party.

December is here and our little girl is a walking and babbling one year old. We didn’t have much in the way of November photographs or posts so with this next entry and library of birthday images it will help to close the gap between Halloween and Christmas. I am currently five months pregant with another baby girl. Its lovely and hectic being a pregnant mom. Kaya and I went to baby yoga in Sedona today, I do yoga while she toddles around the room playing with toys and getting into mischief.

Oh gosh could it be that we have turned into slacking photo parents? We aren’t even on our second child. The truth is Andrew has been so busy photographing weddings and I started back to work so haven ‘t had a chance to post in several weeks. This is for the grandma and grandpa’s waiting for new images!

Kaya and Everette once again. Everette had the cutest costume that Tina made for him, a Dr. Seuss character called, The Thing.

Mom and Dad with Kaya, as the Halloween sun sets. This is the time with a thousand children descend over the town of Clarkdale for trick or treating. Everybody comes to our little town because the streets have sidewalks, unlike Sedona, which mainly has the newer style subdivision pavement.

Groovy hat number two.

We are relaxing listening to Rod Stewart on a Saturday morning. We did a hat fashion show much to Kaya’s dismay. Kaya and her groovy 70’s hats. The following video is a crawling sequence with good ol’ Sophie the Schnuazer.

Drew, Kaya, Sophie the Schnauzer, and I are going to Michigan next week to attend my step-brother Brent’s, wedding. I look forward to spending time with my family but the plane flight, however, Drew and I are both dreading. Let’s just say Kaya is a bit of a wiggle worm.

I am yearning to be in the humid East. I imagine the fall colors are taking root. Grandma and Grandpa Holman are traveling away from the fall colors of South Dakota to Hawaii next week. Well, maybe the Great Plains isn’t known for its autumn leaves. Hopefully they will remember to buy us some of those delicious chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Oh gee willikers, its my pregnancy talking again! We don’t need a thing!

Let me get going on some photos.

My baby girl is enjoying poking around in the plants. You can see we had to put up a plastic barrier so she didn’t eat the dirt from the ficus tree. She is on the move constantly so I have eyes in the back of my head now.

Kaya didn’t want to get pushed out of the box.
